For years I taught what I had been taught.
My students asked good questions, questions that deserved better answers than I could give while I was teaching someone else's concepts.
So I went looking for the why, and for the science behind it.
NeuralFORM is the result:
a way of teaching and providing these therapies so they can be taken seriously, by the families who need them and by the professionals who provide them.
NeuralFORM stands for Neural Functional Oral Rehabilitative Medicine.
Most days I describe it more simply: more than expansion, more than the airway. Neurology shapes function, and function shapes neurology.
We place intention to work smarter instead of harder, powered by the forces of nature.
NeuralFORM is a principle-based approach to care. It isn't a device, and it isn't a procedure.
A good provider is a chef, not someone reading a cookbook: the principles stay the same, and the care is shaped to the person in the chair.
ALF Therapy is part of my roots. I learned it, taught it for years, and I'm grateful for what it taught me about light forces and the role the tongue plays in how we grow.
NeuralFORM grew from those roots, and it carries its own name so a careful comparison can be made instead of everything being lumped together.
Synergy ALF: The Trauma Release Design is one example of how we publish a defined scope of use.
Here's what you'll find:
If we dismiss what we cannot prove, we miss the opportunity to prove what we can.
