NeuralFORM is the device curriculum of The Synergy Academy, covering the Synergy ALF, the NINJA, and Synergy AIR. It teaches dentists and orthodontists to design and adjust oral appliances around the nervous system's response, not around the appliance alone. 

What NeuralFORM is

  

NeuralFORM stands for Neural Functional Oral Rehabilitative Medicine. 


It is the curriculum supported by the literature review, research, trademark protection, and resources developed by The Synergy Academy for its provider community, and it covers the device side of that work: the Synergy ALF, the NINJA, and Synergy AIR.  The Synergy AIR  (Autonomic Integration of Reflexes) is an ALF-based retention appliance customized frot he needs of the individual patient.


The idea underneath it fits in one sentence. Form affects neurology, and neurology affects form.


Sometimes that means moving teeth. Sometimes it means using the form of the teeth to change what the nervous system is reading. Knowing which one you are doing, and when, is what the training is for.


The ALF appliance was originated by Dr. Darick Nordstrom. What The Synergy Academy teaches is one defined version of that work, built around case-selection criteria, a standardized curriculum, a credentialing pathway, and a research program — honoring roots while growing wings.


This work supports improvements in functional capacity, yet does not claim to cure anything. It promotes a more ideal environment for the body to heal itself.
